The reason for choosing this apartment was obviously it's fabulous view of the United Nations, and the East River if you crane your neck.
The U.N. complex a block away is quiet almost always, like an oversize sculpture. They don't build 'em like that very often.
It's also a part of my running route, which is why my personal welcome mat is wearing thin for all visiting Presidents, Despots, Libyan Dictators, multi-national corporations and the jounalists who love them.
The neighborhood gets incredibly swarmed by various security people, here to protect and defend Tudor City.
Every 10 minutes or so, sirens yelping, a motorcade screams by, carrying the entire population of Togo to Larry Flynt's Hustler Club.
They'll leave soon...just like those wacky Druids.
